While the world offers distractions, Ash Wednesday brings renewal. While the world urges selfishness, Ash Wednesday invites surrender. While the world celebrates arrogance, Ash Wednesday celebrates repentance. And he has answered, not in anger, but in love. Not in condemnation, but in forgiveness. Not in condemnation, but in restoration. We are here humbly, in our weakness, accepting God’s infinite grace and mercy. We begin this journey with Christ to a deeper faith, a renewed spirit, a total transformation from our old self, dying in sin to a brand new creation remade in God’s glory and alive in his love. Amen.
